It’s National School Counseling Week! Our three school counselors, Ms. Trujillo, Ms. Rodriguez, and Ms. Sanchez work hard to help students achieve school success and plan for a career. Here’s some exciting news for Off Campus Lunch students: Introducing... TACO TUESDAY! Every Tuesday, Tacos el Viejon will be parked in front of the school so you can easily enjoy your Off Campus Lunch privilege by purchasing from the taco truck. Old rules still apply that all food must be consumed before coming back in the gates. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED ON SITE. GHS Staff, you’re invited too!
Off Campus Lunch just keeps getting better! In addition to Tacos el Viejon every Tuesday, Don Juan Churros y Tacos will be parked in front of GHS every Thursday and ready to sell delicious food to Off Campus Lunch students and GHS staff.
Saide Hawkins Dance is Friday, February 25th in the Student Union Doors open at 5:45pm. You must have a valid GHS ID and facemasks are required at all times. Tickets are now available for five dollars with a leadership student sale end February 18th. Entry at the door will be ten dollars.
Are you a Junior or Senior planning on going to prom? You need to reserve your seat ASAP! Transportation for prom needs to be finalized this Friday. If you have not made a deposit for prom, you will not have a seat on the bus. All deposits are due this week. Reserve your seat with a $50 deposit before Friday. Vamos a La Playa take 2 Prom 2022 Saturday, April 30th, 2022. Tickets are now on sale with Mrs. Cortes in Room 206 at lunch Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Reserve your seat with a fifty-dollar nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit. The cost of prom is $190 for a Single ticket and $380 for couples. Purchase your tickets during Lunch in Room 206. Attention Juniors, UCSC GEAR UP will be hosting a SAT Workshop on Tuesday, February 8th during lunch time in room 508. If you are interested in learning more about the SAT and registering for it, make sure to fill out the RSVP form by today at 3pm. The RSVP form can be found on the Class of 2023 team. Lunch will be provided!

Attention AP students if you registered for AP exams, it is time to start making your payments. Remember that you must pay $5 per exam that you are taking. Payments can be made before school, during lunch, or after school with Ms. Rodriguez in room 508 or with Ms. Sanchez in the main office. All payments must be complete by the end of March.
