Homecoming
Homecoming Dance tickets are now on sale.  Tickets are $5 dollars in advance and $6 dollars at the door.  The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 7th.  Doors open at 5:30 P.M. and close at 7 P.M. You must have a valid GHS ID to enter.  See a leadership students or Mrs. Cortes to purchase your ticket today.  
-Homecoming is just around the corner.  Tuesday, October 3rd is the start of all Homecoming festivities.  This year's slogan is "GHS Where Dreams Come True"
Dress up days start October 3rd.  Dress up and earn your class spirit points by being counted the first 10 minutes of lunch.  Freshmen meet in front of the Library, sophomores meet in front the Student Union, Juniors meet in front of the AG Building and seniors meet at Bruno.
Dress up days are as follows:
Tuesday:  Monster University (College Gear)
Wednesday:  Dynamic Duo Day (Twin Day)
Thursday:  Ohana Day (Hawaiian Day)
Friday:  Color Wars (Class Colors)

Community Service Hours Opportunities
Thanksgiving Dinner on November 19, 2017 at the Lions Club at 618 Apple Ave, free to all and Greenfield Christmas in the Park, Saturday, December 2, 2017.  See Mrs. Aguirre for times and sign-in sheet.
-Greenfield Harvest Festival Saturday, October 14th and Sunday October 15th.  Please see Mrs. Aguirre for an application.
-If they are any students interested in doing childcare on Wednesday's and earn community service, please sign-up with Ms. Patty.  All grades are welcomed!
-Bi-National Health Week Fair, Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Closter Park in Salinas.  See Mrs. Aguirre in the library.

Student Drivers!
If you want to park anywhere on Greenfield High School property, you must have a student parking permit.  It must be this year's permit, last years is no longer valid.  See Mr. Frase right away for an application.  Parking rules are being enforced.  

Gear Up
Attention all students
Are you interested in learning about Mexican Culture?  If so, Hartnell College is offering a short 8 week course starting October 14th, stop by the GEAR UP office for more information or register. 

Attention Sophomore and Juniors
If you are signed up for the PSAT, stop by room 401 for a Math prep workshop from 3 P.M. to 4 P.M.

UCSC Gear Up
Attention Seniors!
We will be having a college application workshop on Wednesday, October 4th from 1:50 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. at the Library Side Lab.  Stop by if you need help fixing out the UC application, CSU application, the FAFSA or Dream Act.   

Attention Seniors
The deadline to register for the November SAT is Thursday, October 5th.  If you need a fee waiver or need help registering, please come to the GEAR UP office.

Attention Winter Athletes!
This includes soccer, wrestling, and basketball.  You have had months to get your athletic packets turned in.  If you wish to participate the first week of practice you must have your packets in to Mr. Radcliff in room 102 no later than lunchtime on Friday, October 20th.  If you are not cleared to participate the first week, teams may be selected before you are cleared and you will be left out.  Packets will be accepted before school and the first 10 minutes of lunch.  If you are participating in a fall sport, you will need to have your paperwork transferred.  There will be clipboards in room 102 to request the change.

Physics Club
There will be a physics club meeting today, Thursday, October 5th during lunch!  Please bring your ideas for our club shirts and make sure to bring anyone that is interested in joining with you! 

Saturday School
Meet Mr. Cohn at the front gate.  The gate closes and locks precisely at 8 A.M.  Don't miss your chance to clear your tardies and absences.
