Are you interested in Dental Careers? Lear skills related to hygienist registered and certified assistants as well as chairside assisting and "on the job" training in local dental offices. Or are you interested in pursuing a career as a Firefighter or a Police Officer? Students will learn many day to day aspects of routine police work and firefighter duties. Classes from 1:05 P.M. to 3:05 P.M. in Salinas transportation is provided. The space is limited so students need to stop by Student Services to sign up.
Community Service Opportunity
There is still a couple spots open for those students who need to complete community service for tomorrow, May 23rd AP & Honor Night, students can sign up with Ms. Sifuentes.
-Community Service Hours Memorial Day May 29, 2017 at the Greenfield Cemetery. Students will be placing flags at 7 A.M. and picking up flags at 4 P.M. There is a need of 20 students. Students need to see Mrs. Aguirre in the library for a sign-in sheet.
The deadline to turn in community service hours is May 26th by 3 P.M. Please see Mrs. Aguirre in the library for an update on your hours any time.
-It's that time of year to fill out your final transcripts request form. Students need to come see Lidia in the office to fill it out. She will them forward your transcripts to the college, university or technical school that you will be attending. If you don't fill it out, she will not be able to send it out.
Just a reminder school dress code will be enforce at all times. Please wear appropriate clothes to school. Thank you.
End of the year Night Rally
Good Morning Bruins! Friday May 26th is our end of the year Night Rally in the Bruins Stadium. Gates will open at 5:30 P.M. All students must have a GHS ID to enter the rally. Students need to leave all back packs, and personal belongings at home or in their vehicle because they will not be allowed in the stadium. Remember school rules still apply at the rally. Spirit dress up days begin Monday May 22nd through May 26th

The yearbooks have arrived. Have you bought yours, yet? If not, you don't want to miss out. Within our deceptively modest and classy cover are contained TONS of fabulous pictures, intriguing quotes, and exciting designs, ALL of which are a record of YOU, YOU, YOU!! It's the Story of Us, and you want to get your copy soon.
So, here's what you need to know. We will start distributing them to SENIORS who have PREPAID on Thursday at lunch. After school on Thursday, May 18th we will distribute them to SENIORS who are ready to pay off their copy. General distribution for all grades levels start Monday, May 22nd, at lunch and after school. If you have prepaid in full, you get to go in the "quick" line.
Keep in mind that you can only pay during lunch or after school; if you try to disrupt Ms. Lara's class to pay, you may end up in the slow line, so please do not come during class time. Otherwise, we will also be selling them at AP Night on Tuesday, May 23rd. Don't wait until it's too late to get your copy. Come by room 611 or after school for information.
Permission slips for the So Cal field trip for June 20th through June 23rd are due Thursday, May 25th.

AP & Honor Night
AP and Honor Night is coming up. It will be this Tuesday, May 23rd. Students who have received their invitations please come that night. It is very important for those students who are taking Honor or AP courses for the next school year make sure to attend this event.
