CS Math Foundations 23-24 (Period Period 6)

Course Description

Core Support Math Foundations is designed for students who have an individualized education program and who have learning challenges that hinder their ability to access the general education math curriculum even with accommodations and supports. This course focuses on building foundational mathematical skills that will prepare students for advanced math courses. It is designed to build basic math skills and to develop mathematical thinking and reasoning skills. Student learning focuses on whole numbers, number theory, fractions, decimals, ratio and proportion, percent, metric measurements, other units of measure, graphs, scale drawing, and pre-algebra skills. Activities and assignments are comprehensively prepared to help students understand basic concepts in Math which includes access to the core curriculum.  It enhances students’ skills necessary to become successful in this course.
