Janet Matos, Principal
On behalf of all staff, I would like to welcome you and your child to Greenfield High School for the 2022-2023 academic school year. We want to assure you that Greenfield High School is committed to providing a high-quality education. We take immense pride in our profession, and we are dedicated to our students and our Greenfield Community.   
   
Whether your child is a new student or a returning student, we will work to make this school year something great for your son/daughter. At Greenfield High School, we are aware that your son/daughter must be ready to meet the needs, challenges, and demands of today’s world. Our staff is committed to giving your son/daughter the best education to prepare them for their future endeavors.  
 
Extra-Curricular Activities  
Greenfield High School offers extracurricular activities in sports such as football, volleyball, cross-country, basketball, soccer, wrestling, track, baseball, and softball. We also offer a variety of clubs and organizations including Band, Drama, Leadership, Future Farmers of America, Yearbook, and Art. We encourage your child to participate in extracurricular activities.  
  
Sports Athletic Clearance On-line Registration   
If your child intends to join a sports team next school year, please go to our GHS Website: https://www.greenfieldhs.org and click on the Athletic Clearance link and follow the instructions of our new on-line sports registration. If you have any questions please reach out to our Athletic Director, John Radcliff, via email [email protected] or on Teams.   
 
GHS Parent Involvement  
At Greenfield High School, we believe that a strong home and school partnership will help our students succeed. To assist in all aspects of quality education at Greenfield High School, both students and parents are strongly encouraged to take advantage of our valuable resources. Please make sure to reach out to our counselors and communicate with them regularly regarding your child’s progress. Please take advantage of our AERIES Parent Portal to stay informed in the areas of attendance and academic progress of your child. Constant communication will ensure that your child will have a productive career in high school.  We invite parents to participate in our monthly: 
-School Site Council Meetings 
-ELAC and DELAC Meetings  
-Monthly Principal meeting (GHS Collaboration with Parents and Community)  
-Attend GHS sporting events  

Parents play a vital role at Greenfield High School (GHS), and with your support, we will make a significant difference in the lives of our students.  
  
Orientation for New Students  
We will be hosting two in-person orientations for all new students and their parents. This will be held at the Greenfield High School Student Union starting at 6:00 PM. 
-English: Tuesday July 26   
-Spanish: Wednesday July 27  
We ask that only the student and one parent attend this event. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school at 831-674-2751.  
  
Online AERIES Registration   
On the outside of this envelope, you will find your child’s name along with their personal AERIES Student Verification code to access AERIES Online Registration along with detailed instructions that will guide you with the online and in person registration procedures.   
  
Passes to eat off campus     
(NO Open Campus on Fridays to allow for monthly class meetings, competitions, elections, and club meetings, and to allow for the fostering of GHS School Spirit and School Pride!)   
   
Note: The permits to leave campus are a privilege, not a right. The administration reserves the right to revoke privileges to leave the campus for any student at any time for violation of school attendance, and discipline policies. No student may have an F. Also, they must be on track for graduation. More details will be given to students who qualify to enroll.   
   
9th grade students are not allowed to leave campus for lunch  
10th grade students must be Honor Roll   
11th grade students who earned an SRI score of 1050 or higher as well as being Honor Roll with a minimum GPA of 3.0   
12th grade students who earned an SRI score of 1050 or higher as well as being Honor Roll with a minimum GPA of 3.0   
   
Back to School Night 
On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 6:30PM, we will be hosting a brief Teams meeting that will last about 15 minutes where parents will be provided with information regarding our Back to School Night.  
 
Back to School Night is set for Wednesday, August 17, 2022. At 6:00pm, you are expected to report in person to your child’s 1st period class. We ask that only the student and one parent show up for this event. We encourage those that would like to wear a mask. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the school at 831-674-2751.
