Welcome to the 2020-21 school year!·
We are all looking forward to a new school year at Greenfield High School. This should be an interesting year as we are still in flux with our plans for educating students in the age of CoViD-19. We are working with the SMCJUHSD and MCOE to develop plans for how we will begin the corning school year. As information becomes available as to what the opening of school for August of 2020 becomes available, we will forward that information to you. We thank you for your continued patience in this regard and look forward to finding the best solutions to move forward with educating your student(s). To open the school year successfully, we would like to bring your attention to the on-line registration process and for the return of required paperwork in the packet. Please see the important information below.

Registration and Required Paperwork
Registration is very important. Students must return the completed signed emergency card form, which you will print from the on-line registration process, and the Free/Reduced Price Lunch Program form which was included with this letter. Class schedules will be distributed only upon receipt of the completed paperwork. You can come to GHS for assistance with the on-line registration process on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings -From June 23, 2020 until July 23, 2020 -from 5:00 to 8:00pm in the Library. The office is also open during summer school for assistance with registration. Please remember to observe social distancing recommendations.

Also, students need to bring a backpack since textbooks will be issued during registration days. It is vital that all of the registration forms are completed, including all necessary signatures, before they are returned on the dates below for your student's registration process to flow smoothly. Please contact the main office if you have any questions. Registration and packet due dates are as follows:
Seniors:  Wednesday, July 29th        9 a.m. - 12 p.m.   Student Union
Juniors:  Wednesday, July 29th        1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.   Student Union
Sophomores:  Thursday, July 30th   9 a.m. - 12 p.m.   Student Union
Freshmen:  Thursday, July 30th       1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.   Student Union
Schedules will be available through the AERIES Portal on Friday, July 31, 2020. Correction of errors in student schedules will be done via email (counselomame@smcjuhsd.org). Students must attend the classes listed on their schedules. Some schedule changes may be considered during the first two weeks of school, pending space and availability.

First Day of School
The first day of school is Monday, August 10th.  School begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:59 p.m. On Wednesdays, school ends at 1:40 p.m.

As always, it is our intent to keep our schools as safe as possible. Attire depicting gang involvement, illegal or illicit activity, scantily-clad women, or other clothes that may be "distracting" to the educational environment is not permitted. Students will receive a parent student handbook during the first week of school, and a student planner during registration. Students are required to bring their student planner and ID Card with them to school every day.

We encourage parents and guardians to become involved with Greenfield High School. We will again offer GEAR UP parent workshops and the Parent Project. Please read our new marquee and visit our website, http://greenfieldhs.org/, for school news, calendar and events! You will receive periodic telephone messages from the school with important school news and information. A computer is in the main office for parents and guardians to log in to the school database to closely monitor their student's grades, attendance and behavior. Please contact the main office for training and a log-in code to the Aeries parent portal. Should you have any suggestions or concerns, please contact us at 831-674-2751. Best wishes for a productive and rewarding school year! Go Bruins!
