Chemistry (Period 1)

This is a math intensive class that covers the Next Generation Science Standards for chemistry. Topics covered may include atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonds, conservation of matter and stoichiometry, gasses and their properties, acids and bases, solutions, thermodynamics, reaction rates and equilibrium, and nuclear processes.  This course involves selected laboratory exercises, projects, and lecture to achieve the goals and objectives designed for peoparation to enter a science-oriented area in the college or university system.
