Core Support Civics (Period 1)

This is a core support class that is designed for the student to understand the basics of American government and civic literacy. This course provides a comprehensive overview of US government that meets the intent of the California Content Standards. It gives students the analytical skills and factual knowledge necessary to deal with the problems and materials of an in-depth study. Essay writing and critical thinking skills are emphasized. Supplementary reading, book reports, and a term paper are required.
