Course Description
Core Support English 1 is a Special Education program that aims to support students with educational learning needs meet the ELA Common Core Standards. Activities and assignments are comprehensively prepared to help students improve in English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. This course puts emphasis on phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. It also gives students opportunities to learn and apply different strategies in addressing variety of prompts related to the fluency/comprehension of literary and informational passages.
