Fire Updates
As you all know, we are experiencing a terrible catastrophe - as the Dolan Fire has doubled in size since yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers go out the many individuals and families affected by the fires. Many families may be impacted directly by the fires. If you are experiencing an evacuation please stay safe and follow your emergency evacuation orders. Once you and your family are safe, contact the school to inform us of your situation and for support.

Lifetouch Picture Make Day
Lifetouch Picture Day has been changed to September 23 – note the date changed. This photo day is for students and staff that did not take your photo this past summer during school registration. More details to follow

Today is Patriot Day
Patriot Day occurs on September 11 of each year in memory of the people killed in the September 11 attacks of the year 2001. In 2009 President Barack Obama added a day of service and remembrance to put a positive action to our mourning the loss of so many lives on this tragic day. As part of Bruin Pride, I challenge all of you to be thoughtful in your remembrance and do something of service – no matter how small – to honor this Patriot Day.

The 3P’s - Being Engaged in Class
Students, as a reminder, you must be engaged in your class from the time it starts until you are dismissed. You may not login, stay for attendance, and then walk away from your computer. Honestly, would you do that if we were in class on campus? Of course not. You wouldn’t do that because it’s
against the rules, the law, and you’d get caught. Well the same thing warnings and consequences apply for Distance Learning. So, stay in class and don’t get in trouble with the school rules or laws.

PBIS 3 Ps = Prompt, Productive, and Polite

Here’s some tips to aid you in your day - follow the 3Ps to success in school and your life
PBIS 3 Ps = Prompt, Productive, and Polite

Polite · Collaborate in a positive manner with teachers and peers · Use a growth mindset to improve your mental well-being and build your confidence · Acknowledge success in your peers and yourself

· Be 100% accountable – you have the power to be anything you want to be . . .
