Community Hours Opportunity
  • If you are interested in being a "Greeter", see Mrs. Aguirre in the library for more information and sign in sheet. United Way will provide free 2 hour training for anyone who is interested. This will go through tax season.
  • Christmas in the Park on December 14th at 4 P.M. at the Gazebo Park. Please see Mrs. Aguirre in library for more information and sign in sheet.
  • There is an opportunity to help out with Mary Chapa's Winter Festival on December 4th from 3-7 P.M.  For more information or to sign-up see Ms. Rodriguez. 
Family Pictures
Sign up for Family Pictures next week at the library side lab, get featured in the yearbook.

Senior Pictures
Senior pictures are due before Winter Break, there is a link on the school website to submit your pictures digitally.  If you have a photo to scan bring it to the library before or after school.

Essay Topic for Seniors "Why Read John Steinbeck?"
The National Steinbeck Center invites any senior in high school to write a thoughtful, persuasive essay around a discussion that explores the importance and understanding of John Steinbeck's writing in today's world and how he awakens the readers' social consciousness through his works.  This year essay topic will be "Why Read John Steinbeck?"
John Steinbeck Writing Award 2020:  First Place $1,000; Second Place $750, Third Place; $500.  
The deadline for submission is December 12th.  See Mrs. Trujillo for the application.  

CS in 3 Program
Attention Seniors, the CS in 3 Program is now accepting applications.  The CS in 3 is a 3 yr program that leads to a Bachelor's of Science with a contraction in Software Engineering.  For more information or to apply visit CSin3.com or see Ms. Rodriguez.  

"Classified Champion"
This month's "Classified Champion" has shown their hard work and dedication to Greenfield students day in and day out.  This individual is always quick and responsive.  This person is always willing to step in and lend a hand even in the most stressful situations.  This person always has great energy and is always looking out for our Bruins on campus.  Due to their hard work this month's Classified Champion goes to Mr. Alfredo Merino!

"Tireless Teacher"
This month's "Tireless Teacher"  exemplified Bruin Pride because of the support that they provide to GHS students and staff.  This teacher has great relationships with their students and is always looking out for them.  This teacher is always in a positive mood and is always willing to help other staff members and students on campus.  He is a great support and motivator for our Bruins.  Due to their caring personality, their enormous Bruin heart, and their involvement with our students, this month's Tireless Teacher goes to Mr. Gildersleeve!

Coding Club Meeting
There will be a Coding Club meeting after school on Thursday, December 5th at 3:05 P.M.  All members, please come to the club meeting in Mr. Ahmed's room 604.

FFA Members
Attention FFA Members reminder that Friday, December 6th is our FFA meeting.  Check in by 4:45 P.M. Come enjoy movies, hot chocolate, and cookies.

Friday Night Lights with a Twist!
Please join us on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 8 P.M. as Greenfield Police and Fire Departments team up to take on the Greenfield High School Bruins for a 7-on-7 flag football fundraiser.  This game will be held at the Greenfield High School stadium.  Entry fee is as follows:
Adults: $4
Student ages 11-17:  $2
Children 10 and under:  Free
The concession stand will also be open!
We hope you come out to this family-friendly event and support Greenfield's first responders and Bruin Athletics.  

Juniors
  • Attention Juniors, if you have not yet turned in the Popcorn money please do so by this Friday, December 6th in room 609.
