Robotics Club
There will be a meeting Monday, November 18th during lunch in room 104.  Please attend.

Community Hours Opportunity
  • If you are interested in being a "Greeter", see Mrs. Aguirre in the library for more information and sign in sheet. United Way will provide free 2 hour training for anyone who is interested. This will go through tax season.
  • Christmas in the Park on December 14th at 4 P.M. at the Gazebo Park. Please see Mrs. Aguirre in library for more information and sign in sheet.
  • There is an opportunity to help out with Mary Chapa's Winter Festival on December 4th from 3-7 P.M.  For more information or to sign-up see Ms. Rodriguez. 
Family Pictures
Sign up for Family Pictures next week at the library side lab, get featured in the yearbook.

Senior Pictures
Senior pictures are due before Winter Break, there is a link on the school website to submit your pictures digitally.  If you have a photo to scan bring it to the library before or after school.

Do you think you car is cool enough for the yearbook?  Sign up at the side lab to have your picture taken during 1st, 5th, or 6th period you can also DM the yearbook class @ghsyrbook19.20. 

Essay Topic for Seniors "Why Read John Steinbeck?"
The National Steinbeck Center invites any senior in high school to write a thoughtful, persuasive essay around a discussion that explores the importance and understanding of John Steinbeck's writing in today's world and how he awakens the readers' social consciousness through his works.  This year essay topic will be "Why Read John Steinbeck?"
John Steinbeck Writing Award 2020:  First Place $1,000; Second Place $750, Third Place; $500.  
The deadline for submission is December 12th.  See Mrs. Trujillo for the application.  

Honor Roll Students
If you were unable to attend the Honor Roll Ceremony on Monday night, please stop by and see Mr. Lynch to receive your honor roll or Principal's Honor Roll certificate during lunch or after school.  Thank you.

Class of 2023
Attention Class of 2023 there will be a meeting Tuesday, November 19th during lunch in room 616.

Coding Club
There will be a Coding Club meeting after school Tuesday, November 19th at 3:05 P.M.  All members, please come to the club meeting Mr. Ahmed's room 604.

Game Club
Join the game club on Friday, November 22nd during lunch in Mr. Golston's room in 601.  We will have officer elections during the meeting.

CS in 3 Program
Attention Seniors, the CS in 3 Program is now accepting applications.  The CS in 3 is a 3 yr program that leads to a Bachelor's of Science with a contraction in Software Engineering.  For more information or to apply visit CSin3.com or see Ms. Rodriguez.

Blue Santa Toy Drive
If you haven't noticed we have a Blue Santa Toy Drive in the office sponsored by the Police Department if you are interested in buying a toy to be donated, please drop it off in the office. 

Traveling for Spring Break
There are still spots open to travel to Costa Rica and Panama over Spring Break 2021.  If you'd like more information see Mrs. Radcliff or attend an informational meeting on Monday, November 25th at 5:30 P.M. in Ventana C to learn how you can save $300 off your tour cost.
