Seniors can hand in their pictures to the library sidelab or email firstname.lastname@example.org with their name, ID number and Senior Quote before February 1st. The deadline has been extended for the entire month of January after this is over.
ETS will be having a field trip to DeYoung Museum in San Francisco on February 8th, 2019. Please pick up your permission slips at the ETS office or check your email. Deadline is January 30, 2019.
AP and Honor Classes

Hartnell Counseling 1
Attention students who are interested in the Hartnell Counseling 1 class. A Hartnell Counselor will be here on Monday, February 4th during lunch time to sign paper work in front of the library.

The Safe Teens Empowerment Project is looking for volunteers to join their STEP program. This program will focus on training related to drug and alcohol prevention. This program will meet every Thursday, beginning February 21st. If you are interested in participating please come see Ms. Rodriguez or Ms. Morales as soon as possible. You can earn up to 60 hours in community service hours which can lead to future employment opportunities.
Congratulations to the GHS Debate Team!
The GHS Debate Team competed on Saturday at our first CFL Varsity Tournament. Competing against some of the largest schools in the state and best debates in the State, our team did very well. Outstanding performance of the day was by Brisa Diaz who won her final round in the Lincoln-Douglass Division.

This month's "Classified Champion" has been a great example of the Bruin way by showing dedication to the students at GHS. This person has been a team player since day one and exudes positive energy every day, you can't help but smile around them. This person is a positive role model and always has the well-being of students in mind! Due to their cheerfulness and collaborative nature this months Classified Champion Award goes to Ms. Melody Soles!

This person is always all smiles and displays a very positive personality. Students enjoy this person's class because they continuosly show support and provide resources for success.
