Senior Portraits Deadline
Monday, February 26th is the last day for Seniors to turn in their portraits.  Any questions refer to Ms. Lara.

CSF Students
All CSF students, it's time for the yearbook photo.  If you are in CSF this year, come to Room 607 with Mrs. Mendez at the beginning of lunch on Tuesday, February 27th.  Hoping to see all of your golden smiles.

ETS (Educational Talent Search)
ETS will be having a SAT/ACT Prep Session on March 24, 2018 for Juniors.  Permissions slips are in the ETS office.  Students interested are to pick up permission slips the deadline to turn them in is March 15, 2018.

Congratulations!
Congrats to JD Lopez and Ivan Torres for making it to Day 2 of CCS Wrestling Championships.  Keep up the hard work.

Prom Tickets
There are less than 50 prom tickets left.  Secure your ticket today with a $50 dollar deposit.  Final payments are due, March 29th.  The cost of prom is $160 for single and $280 for couples.  Prom is April 28th at the Madonna Inn.  Join us in the Enchanted Garden Prom 2018.

Grad Night
All Grad Night Participants the remaining balance of $65 is due March 23rd.

Early Dismissal
Baseball early dismissal at 2:50 P.M. they are to be in the field by 3:05 P.M.

Scheid Essay Contest
Oh say can you see, Bruins, that the Scheid essay contest is fast approaching?  We will have two dates to choose from:  Monday, March 12 from 8:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. or Wednesday, March 14 from 1:45 P.M. to 4:45 P.M.  Because it's the 30th anniversary of the contest, the prizes have increased in value for a total package deal of $8950 for GHS.  The topic this year is The National Anthem:  Is it time to make a stand or take a knee?  Get more information from your English teachers.  

Attention Students and Club Advisors
Each day this week, we will be taking club group and club officer photos.  Your advisor has been emailed the list with the days and time for your club photo, and i't important that you listen to the announcements to know where and when you should go for your club photo.

Especially at lunch time, it's really important to be on time, as we will be taking pictures and moving on quickly.  Ask Ms. Lara if you have any questions about the time for your club.

We are doing due diligence, and the lists will be posted on Monday, March 5th.  Winners will be notified today,  March 1st and Friday, March 2nd.  

Softball Game
Thursday's, March 1st has been cancelled.  

Attention Seniors
FAFSA submission deadline is this Friday, March 2nd.  If you haven't done so, please submit your application by Thursday, March 1st.  
-Seniors, Hartnell College Staff will be here in a couple of weeks, so if you haven't completed your Hartnell Orientation do so immediately.
-Seniors, are you considering attending CSUMB next Fall semester?  If so, a representative from CSUMB will be here on March 7th to guide you on the next steps in the admission process.  If you are interested in participating in this session sign-up with Ms. Sanchez.

Monterey Bay CAPCA
Monterey Bay CAPCA will be offering at least one $1000 scholarship to a person that is pursuing a career in Agriculture.
Applicant Requirements:
Must be pursuing a Bacherlo's (4-year) or Associate's (2-year) Degree in Agriculture.  Must have all paper work submitted by the deadline of April 31, 2018.  

Community Service Hours Opportunity
  • Easter in the Park, March 24, 2018.  Students are to see Mrs. Aguirre for sign-up sheet in the library.
  • Family Literacy Night, at Oak Avenue School on March 6th from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.  Please see Mrs. Aguirre in library for more information and sign-in sheet.
Saturday School
Please meet Mr. Cohn by the front gate no later than 7:50 A.M.  Students must bring schoolwork to Saturday School.  Assignments must be completed to get credit for attending.  If you do not bring school work, some will be provided for the students.

Lost & Found
Mrs. Morales is holding on to confiscated items and will soon be disposed.  Students have until Wednesday, March 7th to come and claim their item.
