Classroom Lessons

In November we hosted a 2-day workshop aimed at enhancing your child's college and career readiness. This workshop provided comprehensive information and hands-on activities tailored to each grade level.

Day One:
Students were introduced to various post-secondary options, graduation requirements, A-G requirements, and the use of California Colleges for exploration. They also completed a survey to define their ‘E’ (post-secondary goal). Each grade level had specific activities:

  • Freshmen: Focused on creating their California Colleges accounts.
  • Sophomores: Completed the Interest Profiler and began career exploration.
  • Juniors: Engaged in introductory financial aid modules.

Day Two:
Students completed their 4-year plans on their California Colleges accounts and entered their preliminary course requests for the 2025-2026 school year, referencing their 4-year plans.

This workshop was a valuable opportunity for students to gain essential knowledge and take proactive steps towards their future educational and career goals.
