Principal's Message

Dear Greenfield High School Families,

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! We are all looking forward to a new school year at Greenfield High School. This should be an exciting year as we have some great new staff, interesting new classes, including more computer and engineering classes. We continue to strive to build a rich academic environment and a welcoming climate for our students. We have many clubs, athletics, and activities that promote student involvement and a culture where each student feels welcomed. We set high standards for academic achievement and community service. Our teachers have attended workshops, conferences, and professional development seminars this summer and will continue to bring rigorous instruction into the classrooms. To open the school year successfully, we would like to bring to your attention the new on-line registration process and for the return of required paperwork in the packet that was sent home with your student in May. Please see the important information below.

Registration and Required Paperwork

Registration is very important. Students must return the completed signed emergency card form which you will print from the on-line registration process and the Free/Reduced Price Lunch Program form which was distributed to all students on the last week of school before the summer break. Class schedules will be distributed upon receipt of the completed paperwork.

Also, students need to bring a backpack since textbooks will be issued during registration days. It is vital that all of the registration forms (yellow color) are completed, including all necessary signatures, before they are returned on the dates below for your student's registration process to flow smoothly. Please contact the main office if you have any questions. Registration and packet due dates are as follows:

Attention all Freshmen!! Come to the Link Crew Freshmen Activities on Wednesday, August pt in the gym from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00p.m.! This will be a fun-filled morning of student activities and an opportunity to make new friends. Come check out your new school!

First Day of School
The first day of school is Monday, August 6th. School begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:59 p.m. On Wednesdays, school ends at 1 :40 p.m.

As always, it is our intent to keep our schools as safe as possible. Attire depicting gang involvement, illegal or illicit activity, scantily-clad women, or other clothes that may be "distracting" to the educational environment is not permitted. Students will receive a parent student handbook during the first week of school, and a student planner during registration. Students are required to bring their student planner with them to school every day.

We encourage parents and guardians to become involved with Greenfield High School. We will again offer GEAR UP parent workshops and Project 2 Inspire. Please read our new marquee and visit our website, http://greenfieldhs.org/ for school news, calendar and events! You will receive periodic telephone messages from the school with important school news and information. A computer is in the main office for parents and guardians to log in to the school database to closely monitor their student's grades, attendance and behavior. Please contact the main office for training and a log-in code to the Aeries parent portal. Should you have any suggestions or concerns, please contact us at 831- 674-2751. Best wishes for a productive and rewarding school year! Go Bruins!
