Summer School Applications
Are available in the front office. If your child failed a class, it is highly recommended for them to attend summer school. Applications are due Monday, May 15th. Summer school is from June 12th to July 7th from 8 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
Have you put down a deposit for your yearbook yet? If not, you should know that the price goes up after Tuesday, April 18th (the day we return from Spring Break). A ten dollar deposit will hold the current price for you. If you would like to receive the lower price, please see Ms. Lara in 611 at lunch or after school.
Hartnell Concurrent Enrollment Workshop on those who are interested in taking Summer Classes. On Tuesday, May 16, during lunch time at the GHS Library. Hartnell will provide the students with the required paperwork and steps to complete as well as the classes they are eligible to take. Students can stop by the Student Services if they have any further questions.
Attention Physics Club Members! There will be a mandatory meeting Thursday, May 4th in Mr. Barge's room 104.
Attention Seniors! Don't forget to turn in your Sober Grad permission slip as soon as possible to Ms.Sifuentes next to the registrar's office.

Any Freshman or Sophomore girl interested in the 2017 Girls Inc programs, they can sign up and turn in their applications into Mrs. Brusch or Nicollette Shaheen and Miriam Perez by Friday, May 5th. All girls are invited.
Good Morning Bruins! Thursday, May 11th is the final Blood Drive of the year. If you are 16 year's old, you need parent permission to make an appointment pick u a permission slip with Mrs. Cortes. If you are 17 years or older sign up with Monica Garcia or Mrs. Cortes for your appointment.
Are you interested in Dental Careers? Lear skills related to hygienist registered and certified assistants as well as chairside assisting and "on the job" training in local dental offices. Or are you interested in pursuing a career as a Firefighter or a Police Officer? Students will learn many day to day aspects of routine police work and firefighter duties. Classes from 1:05 P.M. to 3:05 P.M. in Salinas transportation is provided. The space is limited so students need to stop by Student Services to sign up.

Would you like to be class president? ASB President? Treasurer? Secretary? Now is the time to run for office. Class officer applications for grades 9 through 11 will be available today, May 3rd, before school or after school with Mrs. Cortes. Completed applications are due Wednesday, May 10 2017. There will be a mandatory meeting for all candidates Friday, May 12th after school in room 206. Once again, there will be a mandatory meeting for all candidates after school Friday, May 12th. Campaigning will begin May 15-19. Elections will be May 22 & 23 at lunch.
Just a reminder school dress code will be enforced at all times. Ladies please wear appropriate clothes to school. Thank you.
There is a mandatory Drama club meeting on Tuesday, May 9th at lunch in Ms. Ybarra's room 603.
AP & Honor Night
The AP and Honor night will take place on Tuesday, May 23rd from 5 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Attendance is mandatory for students enrolled in the AP and Honor courses for the 2017-2018 school year along with a parent or guardian. For those students who will be taking an AP or Honor course next school year, students will receive an invitation , please save the date as students will be receiving their summer work, reviewing the course expectations and the course contracts.
If they are any Seniors that placed an order other than the cap and gown from NRP, they can pick up the items after school from the Registrar's office. The cap and gowns will be distributed during graduation practice.
